The Littlehampton Girlguiding Centre is the headquarters of Girlguiding Littlehampton & Arundel District and is ideally located in Littlehampton town centre, with convenient access to parking, public transport, its blue flag beaches and the shopping area, all within a few minutes walk.

This modern venue was completed in 2008 and was designed to meet the needs of local Girlguiding members, as well as those of the local community and beyond.

 

The Centre consists of:

  • a good-sized carpeted entrance foyer
  • a  large, airy main hall with hard flooring and curtained windows
  • a catering style modern kitchen available to all users for refreshment purposes (an extra charge is necessary for use of the kitchen for cooking purposes)
  • good toilet facilities with showers
  • disabled access and separate toilet
  • an upstairs carpeted conference room (the Corbett Room) – accessed via stairway or lift.
  • a small grassed area.

The main hall, with seating for 50, has an area which can be separated off with an acoustic dividing screen.  A multimedia projector, whiteboard and sound system are available for training sessions.

The upstairs Corbett Room has a multimedia screen with DVD/CD player, whiteboard, plus chairs and tables for 30.

The Centre  provides very secure accommodation with off-road parking for up to 4 cars within the lockable centre gates, an intruder alarm system, fire alarm.

Residential Stays (for guiding and scouting groups only)

The Centre is available for booking for residential stays during the school holiday periods or weekends. It is licenced to take up to a maximum of 18 children in the main hall, which has room-dividing doors to section off a smaller area if required as a room for adult leaders.  The upstairs conference room can also be booked if preferred.

Residential booking at this hall includes the use of camp beds, the fully-equipped kitchen and dining room, as well as wifi access.  The audio/visual presentation equipment can also be used on request.
